More Spring on the Mind in Fluttering Cream

               With a prediction of snow where I am located and the knowledge that it will be the end of FEBRUARY!!! before we officially see the duchess I pass on the latest RepliKates that I have found.  I think this may be what I wear for Easter this year.  Our inspiration comes from Kate at the Epsom Derby this year.

I just love how light and floaty this look is and I think the dress is the best part.  I found this RepliKate on Piperlime while searching for pleated skirts. It has a lace bodice and pleated chiffon skirt.

Catherine's Joseph boucle jacket has lots of cute detailing, but I am going to be honest- if you are above a B cup bra size you have little business wearing pockets over your girls. I found a great alternative without all the busy-busy from Forever 21.

Kate accessorized with her Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings.  I found a great pair with even the matching hooks.  As these are part of a birthstone collection, if yellow is not your color, there are 11 other options to choose from as well as an all sterling silver setting.

So I have been searching for a while for a RepliKate of the LK Bennett "Natalie" clutch and many of you can imagine how tickled I was when I found this bag and who designed it.

The Kardashian Kollection has a hard framed clutch named "Hard Case Straw Clutch Natural Minaudiere Handbag" that is made of a natural weave material that is a great looking clutch bag.  It can be purchased for $39.99 on eCrater.com.  I am still giggling as I type.

As with many of her ensembles, the Duchess finished it all off with her LK Bennet "Sledge" pumps.  My RepliKate is below.

My Spring Wardrobe Inspiration from Duchess of Cambridge

               With the NON-EXISTENT appearances by our beloved Duchess, I have spent more time than usual shopping on the internet. But this is our gain as I was able to RepliKate the tweed suit by Rebecca Taylor that Catherine wore to a reception in April of this year honoring the Scott-Amundsen Centenary Race to the South Pole.

Tonight I was browsing the new collection from New York & Company and found this precious cotton tweed jacket (which I plan to purchase when the next coupon arrive in my e-mail).

This "Fringe Trim Cotton Tweed Jacket" can be purchased from New York and Company for $69.95 is a great color and has many of the strong design details of the Rebecca Taylor jacket.  If you want the extra detailing at the neckline I found some sweet floral appliques you can add yourself.  Personally I will be keeping it simple.

This ribbon of " Shabby Chic Frayed Vintage Chiffon Rosette Flower" are 3cm in diameter and can bu cut from theribbon and attached to the jacket.  They are priced at $1.99 and can be purchased from isakayboutique's Etsy shop.

Catherine wore the matching tweed skirt but I am not really into a full on tweed look just yet. New York & Company has the "City Double Stretch Flat Front Pencil Skirt" in the same dye lot as the jacket for $42.95.

As some of you may know that I have purchased not one but TWO versions of the double pearl earrings that Catherine debuted at this event.  I am listing the smaller and less expensive version since I think the pair purchased from Astley Clarke are a bit bigger than hers.  I still wear the smaller version when the mood moves me.

The to-die-for Anya Hindmarch clutch that she carried is not easily RepliKated so I have two options.

The first is the non-duchess lifestyle matching clutch that would do us well in real life.

The second is from Elaine Turner and is a closer match to the box clutch the Duchess actually carried.

The finishing touch to her ensemble were her Prada navy suede round toe pumps.  I found my RepliKate from Jessica Simpson in the form of her "Calie" pump currently on sale for $55.99 from Zappos.com.  Made of kid suede and in a beautiful shade of Navy- I am currently OBSESSED with this shoe and the grey color is a great RepliKate for the LK Bennett "Harper" shoes the Duchess owns as well.  I think the design on the side of the shoe that give a bit of side foot cleavage is what really does it for me.

I am really excited for Spring and navy and warmer temperatures.  I know in the Southeast we still have a few months to do but I am gearing up for better climes through fashion and severe Duchess of Cambridge withdrawals.

                I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and happy new year!  While we were all holidaying I found a few RepliKates that I will post about in a few days that I am very excited about- but first, a look at RepliKate-ing what the Duchess of Cambridge wore for her own Christmas Day church service.

She was wearing her Hobbs "Celeste" coat with a few of her trust accessories.  I literally scoured the web for any other coat in the world that was the same color- and there was not one to be found.  Sadface.  But I did find the silhouette and belting so for this RepliKate the original is the only way to truly match.

This Via Spiga "Chain Belted Maxi Coat" was found on Amazon for a sweet $137.50.  It has the lapels, the belting, the length, the material.  Just not the color.  Depending on your own style taste that may be O.K..  Coming in at a whopping 5' 4" I won't be wearing any maxi-coats anytime soon as all coats are "maxi" on me :-).

Her scarf is just the right splash of Christmas color in my opinion.  When it comes to scarves I have one go-to place.  Nordstrom.  They have about 40 colors and the wool and cashmere blend is divine and in my climate, not too heavy.  Below you will see it in their Cherry Red color.

She wore her Kiki McDonough green amethyst earrings again this year and I have two RepliKate options.  The first is from an eBay Seller that I trust and have used before for custom jewelry.

These are solid 14Kt yellow gold with 7.42Ct of green ameythst and VS quality diamonds.  They can be purchased for $436.00 from eBay seller jewlerypeng.  These are the reasl deal and are therefore priced the same but are a much better tag than what the Kiki's would cost.

The second are from Etsy and are more along the lines of getting the feel for the earring style rather than something exactly the same.

To truly RepliKate the Gucci bag that Kate carried would be committing brand fraud and I am not down with that but there is a Coach wristlet that would do the job perfect and not be a felony misdemeanor.

At $48.30 why not have a real patent leather purse in red.  It is a great size at 9 1/2" (L) x 5 1/2" (H) x 1 1/2" (W).  $48.30 you say? How can that be?  Well- I never pay full price for my Coach- and do yand I will tell you how.  I signed-up to get the e-mails from the Coach Factory online store and never will again.  You can sign up yourself if you click on the listing link. The bag can be purchased at the Coach Factory online store.

Tights seem to be all the rage these days and Catherine was sporting her very own pair of patterned tights.  I am sure as small as she is she can rock pretty much any brand but this girl (and most of the ones I know) could use a little help. Enter in SPANX brand tights.

Essential Apparel

The SPANX Patterned Tight-End Trinket Tights have a classic crosshatch design and keep everything in the right place all at the same time.  I found this pair at EssentialApparel.com for $20.99.

To finish off her look the Duchess wore her Aquatalia booties that I at moments love and hate all at the same time.  DSW has a great RepliKate from Vaneli as seen below.

They are black while hers are brown but we abandoned the chocolate colored coat at the beginning of the post.  They also have the stretch and buckle detail that the Aquatalia boots have.  These VanEli "Ilpona Bootie" can be purcashed from DSW for $89.95.

The dreaded butterfly clips were also noticed by myself and while they are very good at holding up hair I can't help but think they look at bit unfinished.  Maybe for her birthday I will send her some Goody Spin Pins.  I have a picture of them below and they are AMAZING little hair gadgets that do the work of  20 bobbie pins.  They come in multiple colors depending on your hair color.

I think this ensemble provided us with some great pieces to RepliKate and during the time of year a pretty scarf and beautiful coat is just the ticket to perk up the winter blues.
