Kiss Me I'm Irish!

Happy belated St. Patty's Day to all!  On this very green occasion, I present to you my RepliKates for the Duchess' outfit worn to hand out shamrocks to the Irish Guards.  Some are not new and others are- but I have the WHOLE thing completed.

We start at the top with Catherine's Lock & Co. "Fairy Tale" hat.  I have posted this one before but I always get so excited when I have the hat to show!

GirlFabulosity

The "Kate's Black Felt Flower Hat" can be purchased from the GirlFabulosity Etsy storefront for $140.00.

We got a second sighting at the emerald earrings that were debuted (I think...) at the National Treasures event.  This idea was not mine but I pass it along anyways.

Hollywood Collection

"Vivien's Southern Emeralds" are a great way to get the same look.  Not exactly the stone shape but pretty darn close!  They can be purchased on eBay and several online retailers.  I found this pair at The Hollywood Collection online store and can be purchased for $65.00.

It is all in the details!  The regiment actually owns the brooch that the Duchess wore but, for one luck winner you can buy this "Vintage 12K Gold Filled Shamrock 4-Leaf Lucky Clover Brooch" can be yours!

Swampything

You can purchase this exact pin for $22.50 from Swampything's Etsy storefront but a quick search on Etsy for "Gold Shamrock Pin" will lead you to LOTS of fun options.

The big chunk of this ensemble is the Emilia Wickstead coat that we saw last year.  There is an exact RepliKate from Light In The Box but unfortunately it is all sold out.  This leaves you really one option for something exact and that is from Tatiana's Delights tailor- you can check her out on Facebook for more info in her "Notes" section.

OR

This fabu coat from one of my favorite Etsy sellers (I have 2 coats from her).

xiaolizi

I think it may be a brighter green and the the collar is different but the essence is still the same. Green and swishy.  This "Green Wool Coat with Double Folded Collar" can be purchased from the xiaolizi Etsy storefront for $129.00.  It can also be completely customized if you would like!

The Duchess was sporting a mock turtleneck and it really is hard to tell what she was sporting under her coat, but if it were me and pregnant my choice is below:

Target

This Mossimo "Turtleneck Sweater Dress" is on clearance for $10.48 and comes in other colors than black (I have it in the wine color) and can be purchased from Target.com.

Here is my own personal interpretation if I was going to go green on St. Patty's Day-

Land's End

This "3/4-sleeve Drapey Ponté V-neck Dress" in the Pine color is the right length, color and swishness without the coatness.  And for $44.99 is a GREAT deal.  You can pick this up at Landsend.com.

To finish it all off we need some tights and shoes.  My Episode "Angel" pump RepliKate remains the same and I now include my favorite tights from Pretty Polly.

Pretty Polly

To stay warm, these are your best option!  Pick up your pair of "100 Denier Supersoft Opaque Tights" in Black for $12.00 from PrettyPollyUSA.com.

Zappos

The "Macall" pump from RSVP in black suede can be purchased for $53.99 from Zappos.com.

What did you all think of the remix on this coat?  I was too distracted by her hair to really forms an opinion yet but from her face you can tell that she really enjoyed herself- even in the rain.

Till next time- happy shopping!

Off to the races!

The Duchess and her prince were out and about at the races this weekend and in doing so we got a flirty little coat number out of it... and a bit more leg than we usually get. It was a dusky pink a brown combo and maybe (at least I hope) a sartorial slip of her telling us it will be a girl.

I don't think I would personally try anything that short but maybe if I had her legs I would be singing a different tune.  Let's start at the top.  We got a three-peat out of her Lock & Co. "Betty Boop" hat.  While I can usually never get the hats right- on this we can.

GirlFabulosity

The wonderful GirlFabulosity on Etsy.com has an exact RepliKate and word on the WKW Facebook street is that she has great work.  You can purchase the "Kate's St. Patricks Day Hat" for $124.00 from her Etsy store font.

We got a new pair of citrine earrings from Kiki McDonough with beautiful 10mm citrine cushion cuts of her diamond hoops.  Apparently Catherine is REALLY into this "drop of honey" colored gemstone.

I found the right shape and size of the stone from an Etsy seller and anyone could easily remove the french hook earwires and add their on loop to add to existing pair of hoops or buy some studded hoops to finish off the exact look.

OhKuol

These "Gold Citrine Quartz Earrings" in a honey color can be purchased from the OhKuol Etsy.com storefront for $42.00.

Now for the coat... I think I did AWESOME on this one.  While it is not double breasted- it is the right color has the envelope collar, and tabbed sleeves. It can also be customized to your length or any other change you could think of.  That is why I love Etsy.

xiaolizi

This "Asymmetric Collar Camel Cashmere Coat" can be purchased from the xiaolizi Etsy.com storefront for $158.00.

I list again the "Celesta Clutch" that can be ordered in brown to RepliKate the Emmy Shoes clutch she was carrying.

Arvishas

You can purchase this clutch from the Arvishas Etsy.com storefront for $87.00.

Many of you know that I am a conscientious objector to the MaxMara Studio leopard print dress (though I may like it shorter now) so I insert my own ideas here:

HSN.com

This "Pleated Chiffon Dress with Belt" by Jessica Simpson in Cafe au Lait can be purchased from HSN.com for $79.90.  I just love the color, the sleeve length, and the fun little ruffle at the bottom.

If she ever took of the coat, I think those patterned tights with a patterned dress may have been a bit much.  If you love them so much you need a RepliKate leave me a comment and I will send you what I found.  I really would have preferred plain tights. On that note- I present my favorite brown tights from Pretty Polly (I am OBSESSED just in case you were curious).

Pretty Polly

These brown 40 Denier tights come in a 2 pair pack for $15.00 and can be purchased from several retailers or directly from Pretty Polly's new US online store.

The last little bit is always my favorite- the shoes.  The brown suede version of the Stuart Weitzman "Zipkin" boots were an exclusive to Russell & Bromley but the black suede are still in most sizes on Zappos.com.  I can't fit any of this business over my own calves but of all the brown suede boots I looked at for this post, these were my favorite.

6pm.com

These Nine West "Dearest" boots in dark brown suede are to the knee and have the sweetest gold tone zipper up the back, probably my favorite part.  They can be purchased for $115.03 from 6pm.com.

Love pink and brown as an outfit combo and it was nice to see the more age appropriate side of Catherine- showing us she is pregnant, not dead yet :-)

Till next time- happy shopping!

RepliKate Ordering Opportunity

Tatiana, one of the wonderful ladies of the WK Facebook page and her own blog Tatiana's Delights, has hooked us up with a wonderful opportunity to order and exact RepliKate of the Kiki McDonough earrings. We are just shy of 15 orders to get everything started and wanted to make sure everyone knows about this opportunity!

All the details are below from Tatiana's Note on Facebook:

Here you can find more information regarding how to get factory made RepliKate earrings of Kate's KikiMcDonough green amethyst earrings

  1. The earrings will be made by a factory in China. My tailor over there will communicate with the factory to arrange the order.
  2. The order will consist of 50 pairs. Since I am not a business I am not able to pay for this entire order in advance all by myself, which means 50 people will need to order a pair of earrings in advance to me.
  3. The deadline for ordering will be Sunday 17 March 2013
  4. A pair of earrings will cost US$ 49 INCLUDING shipping (to everywhere in the world).
  5. For those who also want to order for a friend etc: the price for two pairs of earrings will be US$ 90 including shipping, and for three pairs will be $132 including shipping.
  6. The earrings will be made of gold colored metal, with one large light green oval crystal and lots of small clear crystals. (So the earrings will not be gold plated or gold, and they will not contain real green amethyst and/or real diamond, just to be clear :-)) The earrings will be made for pierced ears. No exeptions to the above can be made by the factory I am afraid. The earrings will consist of a gold hoop filled with clear crystals and a detachable pendant with the green crystal in a gold setting and also with clear crystals around it. So you can also change the earrings once in a while and wear the hoops with freshwater pearl pendants (like Kate does sometimes).
  7. When after the deadline the goal of 50 people is reached I will place the order with the factory and then it will take between 2 and 4 weeks before all the earrings are done and will be shipped (depending on the waiting list at the factory). After that shipping will take 15-20 days via normal airmail (which is included in the price). So when you order now, you will receive the earrings somewhere between 14 April 2013 and 12 May 2013 (but that's a worst case scenario. Of course I will keep everyone who ordered regularly updated!!!
  8. If, after reading this, you are interested in ordering one or more pairs of Kate's green amethyst earrings replikates, please send me a personal message containing the following information.
    • Your address
    • Your phone number
    • How many pairs you would like to order.
  9. After I have received all of this info I will let you know my paypal account and you can transfer the money to me. I will of course send you a confirmation message when I receive the money.
  10. After I have received the money I will add you to a closed facebook group where everybody who ordered the replikate earrings will be updated
  11. Payment: when you transfer the money to my paypal account PLEASE make sure that the PayPal fee will be paid by yourself and will not be abstracted from the $49. If I am right, you can do this by following these steps:
    • Go to 'TRANSFER MONEY' or 'MAKE PAYMENT' (I am not sure what it says in the English version of Paypal, mine is in Dutch :-P)
    • Go to 'PRIVATE PAYMENT'
    • Choose 'PAYMENT DUE'
    • Fill in the form and make sure you tick the box 'I PAY THE COSTS'.
And please don't forget to also add your facebook name and your address to the descriptions field below!!!

I know it's a lot to ask, but otherwise it will be impossible to keep track of all the payments.

Well, I think that is really all the info I think :)

Best regards!

Tatiana

Updated: Wedding Bells Were Ringing...

Everyone loves a wedding, and I am no exception. But we all have probably experienced the stress of trying to figure out what to wear to such an event. 9 times out of 10 now I peruse previous outfits worn by the Duchess of Cambridge in previous years and I always get inspiration.  There is no exception to this rule with the ensemble that she wore to a friend's wedding in Switzerland this past week.

The best part is- we can RepliKate the hat!!!!  There is a wonderful Etsy.com seller that has made copies of numerous Catherine hats and the brown Lock & Co hat is no exception.

Girlfabulosity

The "Kate's St. Patrick's Day Hat" can be purchased from the GirlFabulosity Etsy.com storefront for $124.00.

Next are the Kiki McDonough hoops that are adorned with Catherine's Annoushka pearl drops.

GoldenButterflyBeads

With some small pliers and 30 seconds, you can transform the above hoops and the below pearl drops into the drop earrings you desire.

The "Cubic Zirconia Pave Leverback Earring w/ Ring Gold Vermeil" are 9mm huggie hoops and can be purchased for $11.00 from the GoldenButterlyBeads Etsy.com store front.

TerraFinds

The "Fresh Water Pearl Drop Pearl Dangles" measure 12mm by 9mm and can be purchased from the TerraFinds Etsy.com storefront for $13.50.

UPDATE: Here are what the earrings look like now that they are assembled:

GibbieGirlDesigns

I think my personal favorite part was the fur muff that she wore around her neck.  It was so lush and rich next to her glowing face.

Furs New York

This "Brown Fox Neck Warmer/Collar" can be purchased for $106.00 from Fursnewyork.com.

The Duchess bundled up in a single placket cream coat.  I found several VERY expensive RepliKates but chose the following coat as i carried the theme but in an affordable price point.

Overstock

This Via Spiga "Women's Italian Cashmere-wool Blend Coat" can be purchased from Overstock.com for $124.99.

To keep her hands warm, Catherine carried a pair of fur and leather gloves.

FurSource.com

These "Mink Fur Trim Leather Gloves" are cashmere lined and can be purchased from Fursource.com for $99.95.

I am super excited about these RepliKate bags that a fellow WKW-er introduced us to.  You can order this bag in 16 different colors of suede.  For this outfit the chocolate would be perfect.

Arvisha's

The "Celesta Clutch" can be purchased from Arvishas Etsy.com storefront for $87.00.

The dress on this one really is the hardest.  The first problem being that I personally think the dress is a bit dowdy and looks good on Kate because she is a stunner.  On me it would look like a leopard print pillow.  So instead of an exact RepliKate I went with inspired by.

Kohl's

This Simply Vera Vera Wang "Watercolor Chiffon Dress" has the chiffon flow and the neutral brown tones that make the real-thing such a versatile dress.  The dress can be purchased for $51.00 from Kohls.com.

Last but not least are the RepliKates for the Duchess' GORGEOUS Emmy pumps in brown suede.  These were the second hardest to find.  I may still be on the look out for another pair, but until then, I think these are great.

6pm.com

The "Daina" pumps in Chocolate Suede from Pour La Victoire can be purchased for $74.99 from 6pm.com.

What did you think of her winter-time wedding look?

Till next time- happy shopping!

Snow Bunny Alert

I have always had visions of myself as a ski bunny but alas from where I live, snow is so far away that really I can only imagine it in theory.  There is no rule about not looking like you are ready to hit the slopes even though they are no where near you- right?  We all got a lovely surprise to see the Duchess and her Prince in Switzerland to enjoy a destination wedding of dear friends.

I have previously posted my RepliKate for the "Darwin" jacket by L.K. Bennett but I have it below in case there are a few others who would like to snag the last 7-8 of the jackets that are left.

HSN

The "Dramatically Draped Faux Shearling Jacket" from the Iman Platinum collection at HSN.com can be purchased for $99.95 and is currently also available on flex pay.

For the Duchess' shades you can actually have the real thing for a "not so huge" splash-out.  I found a retailer online that currently has them listed for under $200.

SelectSpecs

These "Obsedia" Givenchy sunglasses can be purchased from selectspecs.com for $165.18.

For a less expensive version, these cuties from Target are a great RepliKate.

Target

The Merona "Plastic Rounded Sunglasses with Open Lens" in black can be purchased for $16.99 from Target.com.

On this outing on the slopes we also found out that much like us, when Catherine finds something she likes she buys it in more than one color. We have previously seen her cream version of the Temperley "Honeycomb Tunic" and now we know she has it in black as well.

QVC

QVC has a great "Textured Cowl Neck Tunic Sweater" by Susan Graver in black can be purchased from QVC.com for $38.50.  You don't get the sleeve detail but it will cover your rear!

In East Tennessee there will probably never be a need for fleece lined leggings but if I ever did get to be a snow bunny, I would definitely want a pair.

Bare Necessities

I went to me favorite source for all things hosiery and they pulled through.  Plush makes these "Cotton Fleece-Lined Leggings" in black and can be purchased for $75.00 from BareNecessities.com.

Now to the boots everyone has been talking about.  I am not touting these as an ID, but I would not be surprised if Catherine's real boots are made by the first company.  If we are accessorizing our HSN "Darwin" RepliKate, then I would suggest getting these boots in brown but both also come n black if we are exactly RepliKate-ing.

Amazon.com

The expensive RepliKate (for people who actually encounter snow and cold weather) are the "Dago" boot from Pajar made from cow and goat skin/fur.  They can be purchased for $259.95 from Amazon.com.

The budget RepliKate is from Bearpaws and are absolutely precious and MUCH easier on the wallet.

Amazon.com

The "Women's Sonjo II Mid-Calf Boot" in Chocolate can be purchased from Amazon.com for $58.62.  And a reminder- both this boot and the Pajar boot come in black as well, as seen below.

Amazon.com

It wouldn't be a rediculousy detailed post from me if I didn't RepliKate EVERYTHING the Duchess had on her person :-)  Have any sledding needs?  If so, you could be the proud owner of a sledge.

Sports Recreation Mall

This "Alpine Sleds L-1000 Tracker - Large" can be purchased for $119.00 from Sportsrecreationmall.com.

Are there any other snow bunnies in the house?

Till next time- happy shopping!
