A Walk in the Park

               The Duchess was out and about with a bestie taking a walk with her doggie and I am sure discussing impending motherhood.  Catherine looked comfortable in her shearling coat and wellies.  I think they must be part of her workout regime because pictures of them look like they would be REALLY heavy.  But really this is just a chance for me to share my RepliKate for her "Darwin" jacket from L.K. BUMP! There it is!

               She's BAAAAACK!!! I can't even describe the excitement.  While RepliKating previous outfits has proven to be informative and fun- I just couldn't wait to get my hands on something new!

Here we have it now in the form of her first official maternity work look.  The good news is, her baby bump is akin to my everyday bump so it translates to some of us who are not looking for maternity wear but still  love her style.

I thought the dress would be hard to find since we are headed into Spring at pretty much every retailer, but I was pleasantly surprised to find one at my first stop. Have you noticed yet that I loath long sleeves yet?  The Duchess seems to be particularly found of them in the cool times of year but I really can't stand them for some reason.  This may be why I always find 3/4 length sleeves more appealing in my RepliKates.

Kohl's

This "Apt. 9® Animal Faux-Wrap Dress" in Snake Gray (also in Turquoise) has a light gray snake skin print with gathering at the shoulders, 3/4 sleeves and a silver tone buckle at the waist to create the faux-wrap on this dress.  It is currently on sale at Kohls.com for $29.99.

As most of us who are well endowed on the top know, sometimes wrap dresses just don't work for the workplace.  The girls can look out of control due to them pulling the surplice down to a level that is a bit inappropriate (but awesome for date night).  Looks like Catherine, with her newly enlarged chest by baby, has learned the same lesson.  She kept everything kosher with a light gray camisole underneath her dress.

Her Room

These can generally be found just about anywhere, but I like the color of this camisole by Coobi in Medium Gray, that can be purchased for $12.95 from herroom.com.

She accessorized with her Annoushka pearl drops that she usually wears dropped from her Kiki McDonough diamond hoops.  I have shared these before but they are still my favorite RepliKate for these earrings (that doesn't involved buying two pairs of earrings and taking them to a jeweler for further modifications). leewen These "Pearl Drop Earrings" are listed at $92.00 and can be purchased from leewen's Etsy.com storefront. On my wishlist of things that I want to add to my RepliKate collection is the Duchess' Asprey "167 Button Pendant".  It just seems to go with everything and it is oh so very shiny.   I think I finally found the necklace that I want to RepliKate this with.  The Michael Kors "Silver Tone Pave Circle Pendant Necklace" shown below is my pick.  It is EVERYWHERE on eBay.com and I would suggest going there to look first since it is rawther expensive at Dillard's and Norstrom's at the moment.

For the last bit of the Duchess' look are her black suede Episode "Angel" pumps. I found an almost exact match in these RSVP shoes.  The reviews all state that these are SUPER comfy for all day wear- but the price at the moment keeps me from diving in.  They sure are a great visual match though.

How to Pump Up a Basic Look with Killer Accessories

               One of my favorite ensembles that the Duchess of Cambridge has ever worn was the Amanda Wakeley dress and assorted accessories that she wore to visit the Imperial War Museum.  This dress was a hard one but I think I have found a RepliKate that matches the details of the original while being flattering for those of us with non-Duchess body types.

I found the dress (which is the key piece as always) after months of searching.

We have the sheath shape, 3/4 sleeves, color, hemline and neckline.  This dress also gives the added bonus of being a soft cotton with some strategic side ruching that is always so flattering.  I love Graham and Spencer and I bet this dress will fit like a dream.

Riding Boots and Capes- Oh to be a Princess...

               Only the Duchess of Cambridge could rock a cape while out casually shopping at her local drugstore.  I am intrigued by the idea, I want to be the princess that wears a cape to run errands- but I am just not sure yet.

The Orvis cape that the Duchess was wearing is no longer in stock and according to their Customer Service- very unlikely to be back in stock in the near future.  I have found a very cute belted cape coat that I wanted to share though.

Not an exact RepliKate but it is a very cute plaid pattern and since it is belted it is a bit more figure flattering.  This "Plaid Belted Cape" can be purchased from Dressbarn.com for $49.50.

She accessorized the cape with a black pashmina.  You know what my favorite is.

This "Tissue Weight Wool & Cashmere Wrap" in black can be purchased from Nordstrom.com for $88.00.  Another great option that is not online is the BigBudda line from SteinMart that usually runs around $10 and are a great quality.

Under the cape was a plain black t-shirt.  I always get mine from Gap or Old Navy.

The "Favorite Long-Sleeve Crew T" in black can be purchased for $16.95 from Gap.com.

On "those" legs it looks to be leggings... but in the cold they could be something a bit more substantial.  For my RepliKate I used a pair of pants I own from Express.  They are made of a Ponte knit and are thick enough to keep off the cold but still look like leggings until you see the five pocket detailing they have.  They also tuck great into boots.

To finish the whole look off the Duchess wore her Really Wild "Seville" brown suede riding boots.  These are a bit out of my price range but not completely necessary to RepliKate except for the fact that even with the money to buy them I highly doubt they would fit around my calves.  Enter Audrey Brooke who has fulfilled all my wide-calf boot needs.

These "Adore" calf suede riding boots share some of the same detailing and have a very attractive heel.  I love the quality of my other Audrey Brooke boots and I am sure these will be the same way.  They can be purchased for $139.95 from DSW.com.

Getting ready for the sunshine!

               I can almost feel the warmth in the sun, which means this years summer will be blazing hot in East Tennessee.  In keeping with the promise of sun soon, I share my RepliKate for the yellow broderie anglaise dress the Duchess of Cambridge wore on the Southeast Asian tour in 2012.

I found this gem while surfing the dresses at OldNavy.com.  I am kind of a dress freak since it is your entire outfit in one piece and in truth are comfortable and require less work to get dressed in the morning.

These pesky earrings just keep cropping up don't they?  I am still waiting for my pair from Palm Beach Jewelry to come in the mail but while I wait to cast my final vote on them, here is another great RepliKate from Etsy.

These "Harbordale" wedges in Cognac from Sperry Top-Sider have gold accents and leather braiding on the upper with an espadrille wedge.  Since they are from Sperry I am sure they are very comfortable and while they are darker than Catherine's wedges, they are a very good looking choice.

My second choice are from a favorite brand of my own, Toms.  I wore them on my wedding day after I shed my Badgley Mischkas and I love Toms wedges for the style and comfort they have.  I would bet money the below wedges are no different.

My go to for any casual up-do are my trusty Spin Pins from Goody's these amazing little hair gadgets do the work of  20 bobbie pins.  They come in multiple colors depending on your hair color and can be purchased from multiple retailers for around $7.

          Just kidding- I don't even know where in Tennessee I could find a polo match to attend.  But I did LOVE the Jenny Packham dress that the Duchess of Cambridge wore on her North American tour in 2011.  I hadn't ever really found anything close to the dress but an e-mail from Piperlime boasting of dresses under $100 lead me to my find below.

This printed dress from Sabine has cap sleeves, an elastic band at the natural waist and a pleated skirt to the knees.  It has the same tones as the Duchess' dress and while not a strictly floral pattern it is style very circular.

The Duchess was carrying her much loved Tod's "D-Styling" bag.  I am an uber fan of satchels and this one is no different in getting love from me.  Great color.  Great hardware. Great shape.  I think my RepliKate does this bag justice.
